Submitting to SPA Publications
The Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology welcomes submissions to both The Pennsylvania Archaeologist and the SPA Newsletter. Authors should review the appropriate style guide and submission requirements before submitting manuscripts or materials.
Separate guidelines apply to journal articles and newsletter submissions.
The Pennsylvania Archaeologist
The Pennsylvania Archaeologist welcomes manuscript submissions for publication. Articles should relate to Pennsylvania archaeology and may include site reports, regional studies, artifact analyses, descriptions, or position papers. Editorials and rebuttals may be accepted at the discretion of the Editor(s).
Submissions should include:
• A complete manuscript formatted according to the manuscript submissions guidelines (below)
• Tables and figures submitted as separate files
• An abstract
SPA Newsletter
The SPA Newsletter publishes chapter news, announcements, brief reports, and items of general interest to the Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology membership.
