What Your Membership Supports
When you join the Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology, you become part of a statewide effort to protect and better understand the human history beneath our feet. Membership dollars help us:
Safeguard archaeological sites that are threatened by development, erosion, and looting.
Document and preserve artifacts and collections held by museums, chapters, and research institutions.
Share new discoveries through publications, public programs, and outreach events.
Support students and early-career archaeologists through awards, grants, and mentoring opportunities.
Build partnerships with Tribal Nations, local communities, and educational organizations.
Provide training and annual gatherings where members can learn, network, and collaborate.
Promote ethical, scientific approaches to recovering and interpreting Pennsylvania’s past.
Your membership makes this work possible and ensures that the archaeology of our region continues to be studied, respected, and preserved.
